Proximity voice chat

🎙️ Simple Voice Chat (Java)

It is included in the automatic client. Normal voice reaches 48 blocks and whisper reaches 24; groups are allowed. Check Controls for the keys to open the panel, mute yourself and change voice mode. Select the correct microphone and grant system permission if prompted.

Voice uses UDP 24454, separate from the Minecraft port. If you see the disconnected icon even though you can play, that port or the firewall/router is usually the problem. Bedrock does not use this voice mod; Discord is an alternative.
